Apple Bank Notice on the Heartbleed Bug

Apple Bank's internal systems are not affected by potential external Internet threats, such as the Heartbleed bug.

Apple's Online Banking service is hosted by a third party, ACI Worldwide. ACI has notified its member banks and has conducted a detailed assessment evaluating how the ACI hosted products are deployed in their data centers.

None of the hosted applications, including Apple Bank's Online Banking service, are exposed to the exploitation of this OpenSSL vulnerability (Heartbleed bug).

ACI On Demand's layered security design, along with rigid adherence to patch management and continual security risk assessment, has served to avoid any risk of exploitation to their customers' hosted environments at the Internet facing layer.
