As part of this program, for each month that you make any combination of five qualifying debit or credit transactions of $25 or more per month from your Apple Bank Simple Checking Account, you’ll earn a preferred interest rate that is 0.50% higher than the current interest rate in effect for the Apple Bank Simple Savings Account.

²Annual Percentage Yields (APYs) disclosed are effective as of June 1, 2026 for the Simple Checking account and may be changed by the Bank at any time, including after account opening. Interest is earned on daily balances of $1.00 or more at 1.00% interest rate and 1.01% APY. A $100.00 minimum deposit is required to open the Simple Checking account. The Apple Bank SmartStart Savings account is available to minors and young adults ages 6 through 25. Accountholders must be able to write their name and provide one form of identification, such as a birth certificate or school photo ID. The Apple Bank SmartStart Savings account is available to minors ages 6 through 17 with a parent or guardian as a joint owner. A parent or guardian may also open the Apple Bank SmartStart Savings accounts as a Uniform Transfers to Minors Act account(UTMA) for minors and young adults up to 21 years of age. There is no minimum daily balance requirement to maintain the account and no monthly maintenance fee regardless of account balance.

The Apple Bank SmartStart Banking account is available to teens and young adults ages 13 through 25. Minors ages 13 through 17 must have a parent or guardian as a joint accountholder on the account. The Apple Bank SmartStart Banking account requires a $100.00 minimum deposit to open an account. There is no minimum daily balance requirement to maintain this account or monthly maintenance fee regardless of account balance.
