Apple Bank

Heter Iska

By resolution duly adopted by the management of Apple Bank, currently located at 122 East 42nd Street, New York, NY 10168, including all branches and subsidiaries (the "Bank"), the Bank approved and adopted the three Heter Iska forms (Exhibit A: General Heter Iska Agreement, Exhibit B: Loans and Financial Accommodations, and Exhibit C: Deposits and Savings) which are available on this site, in order to comply with possible violation of Jewish law that prohibits transactions and other financial arrangements requiring the payment and acceptance of interest.

The General Heter Iska can apply to existing and prospective Jewish customers without any further action, and Apple Bank has maintained a General Heter Iska for decades. Some rabbinical authorities, including KFI, however, require an individualized customer agreement (Heter Iska Proty). Customers requiring an individual agreement may complete the appropriate form at any Apple Bank branch or download, complete, and email the form to [email protected] for execution.

Any officer of the Bank holding the office of Vice President or above is authorized and empowered to execute and deliver the applicable Heter lska form.
